During my drive to “work”, I noticed the guy in front of me had a pretty unique job. Apparently from what it says on his truck, he spends his day scooping up dog poop. Not cat, horse, pig or chipmunk poop, just dog poop. Talk about limiting your clientele! I mean, if your going to be scooping poop anyway, why stop with dogs? Don’t most people who have dogs pick up after them anyway?

Maybe this is just a front for something else. Maybe this guy works for the FBI and is undercover tracking some local Tony Soprano or something. Maybe he is in the witness protection program and needed to be able to get around and stay under the radar. I don’t know, but I’m not buying it! Who grows up dreaming about being the guy who scoops dog poop and plasters it all over his truck? I can’t imagine the ladies are getting all excited when they see him roll up in his “company vehicle” and he says something like “Hey babe…I’m in business for myself. Yeah, that’s right…I scoop dog poop and get PAID for it!”.

What does he do when it rains or snows? I know dogs don’t stop pooping for the weather, but does he go out in it and still scoop? Does he have the dedication of the mailman? Does he get a 401k? How much does he make doing this? Does he go to his kids school for “career day” and hype the kids up about how they can grow up and do it as well? I’m sure he is a good guy and does a great job….I’ve just never seen a job like this and would love to know what inspired him to enter this field of work.

Anyway, here is a picture of the back of his truck that I snapped on my phone while stuck in traffic.  I know what you are all thinking….”Why didn’t I think of this 1st?”…right?  So today, when you think your job “stinks”, just remember, there is someone out there whose job “stinks” more than yours!
